Abu Sama is an unfortunate Rohingya refugee. He is 70 now. He is one of those first refugees who arrived in Bangladesh in mid-August of 2017 to save his life from the brutal repression and torture of the Myanmar security forces.

He arrived in Bangladesh after 8 days of walking. He witnessed the inhuman murder incidents of several of his fellow communities. Initially he was injured but somehow reached by the side of the frontier river between Bangladesh and Myanmar. At the initial stage, Bangladesh authority provided him a tarpaulin made house. But that house could not protect him and his family from the adversity of monsoon season. Finally, Helping Hand provided a fenced house to Abu Sama along with thick tarpaulin, solar panel and battery.

Now Abu Sama can live properly and is not suffering from strong wind and sunshine. Abu Sama is really very happy and satisfied about SELF DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE(SDI) as they provided him a better house to live in.

Abu Sama always praying for SDI and its partners, who helped him in this critical condition.
