SDI believes that the light of education can eradicate darkness from every human mind. An educated person can play vital role for the development of the country. Which is why SDI took several initiatives for educating the people of the underprivileged community. Some of them are

Out of School Children (OOSC) Program

SDI is a partner of the OOSC program which is a government program for those children who didn’t had a chance to step inside of any school. Also, those children who got dropped out are also brought under this program. Through this program, SDI have brought approximately 4200 children inside the light of education. These children receive basic education, participate in the final exam and complete their courses. These children also get necessary education and educational materials through this program.

Child Education and Adolescent Care

SDI believes in the immense potentials of every human child. For this, SDI conducting programs like child care and education, basic training, technical training and adolescent care.

Teacher Sponsorship

SDI offers Teacher Sponsorship. Through this program, SDI offers honorarium to the teachers of orphanages and child care centers. In some projects the donors such as Government, World Bank helps with providing some portion of the honorarium and in some projects, SDI provides honorarium from its own fund, so that the teachers can have some economical solvency in their life and can concentrate towards teaching properly.

Learning Centers for Rohingya Refugee Children

Over 450,000 Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh are children. To brought them in the light of education SDI stepped up and implemented the project of “Learning Center for Rohingya Refugee Children”.
