Eid ul Adha is another festival celebrated by Muslims globally. In this festival Muslims sacrifices animal and distributes the sacrificed animal’s meat among the poor people. SDI also takes part in this festival, sacrifices animals for the poor people and distributes among the poor people. As these people faces hard time to earn their daily bread so buying meat is something luxurious for them. With the distributed meat and other food items they can be the part of the globally celebrated festival and enjoy the day with their family.
Winter Cloth Distribution
In Bangladesh, the winter’s temperature usually stays between 5 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius which doesn’t seem really cold. But most of the poor and needy people don’t even have one piece of warm cloth which will cover them and protect them from cold. This much cold is enough for making people sick with respiratory diseases and other cold related diseases. If these people at least get minimum clothing support then they can be saved from those diseases. SDI tries to help these poor and needy people by distributing warm clothes in the winter so that they can keep themselves warm and can stay away from the cold related diseases.
